Christians Shift Focus to Other Political Ideas
Nancy Haught writes about OCCV and its Executive Director: “Stephanie Tama-Sweet mixes religion and politics, serving it up with a twist. “No church,” the Portland woman tells a Christian college crowd, “regardless of how godly or wealthy or righteous it may be, can provide 117,000 children with health care.” Oregon’s need is too big for a single congregation, a denomination or even a whole faith tradition. The solution, she says, is advocacy.”
